Mandaluyong council participates in capacity enhancement training

The Mandaluyong Council for the Protection of Children (MCPC) recently underwent a 3-day Capacity Enhancement Training for LCPC Members and Technical Working Group (TWG) and Recalibration of Technical Capabilities on Children's Development. The event was held as part of the city government's efforts to provide better programs and services for the welfare and protection of children in the city.

The MCPC, led by its chairperson, Mandaluyong City Councilor Charisse Marie Abalos-Vargas, participated in the training to improve their knowledge and skills in handling cases involving children. The training also aimed to strengthen the partnership between the city government and the barangays in addressing the needs of children.

Councilor Abalos-Vargas emphasized the importance of protecting the rights and welfare of children, and expressed her commitment to continue working with the MCPC and other government agencies to ensure that the city's children are given the best possible care and support.

The training was facilitated by the Department of Social Welfare and Development (DSWD), in coordination with the Local Government Unit of Mandaluyong City, and was attended by various government agencies and organizations involved in child protection and welfare.
