Mandaluyong inaugurates Addition Hills housing project
The local government of Mandaluyong, headed by Mayor Ben Abalos and Vice Mayor Menchie Abalos, held a groundbreaking ceremony for a five-story Evacuation Center & Multi-Purpose Building and the inauguration of the 11-unit Addition Hills Housing Project in Barangay Addition Hills on March 8, 2023.
The projects were among the priority initiatives of the city government aimed at providing better services and facilities to its constituents. The Evacuation Center & Multi-Purpose Building, located on F. Fabella Street, will serve as a safe haven for residents during emergencies and disasters. It will also house various facilities such as a community hall, daycare center, and health clinic.
Meanwhile, the Addition Hills Housing Project will provide comfortable and affordable housing to low-income families in the area. The units are designed to be spacious, well-ventilated, and equipped with basic amenities.
The ceremony was attended by the city's officials, barangay officials, and representatives from the project contractors. In his message, Mayor Abalos emphasized the city's commitment to improving the lives of its residents through sustainable and inclusive development projects.
Vice Mayor Menchie Abalos, on the other hand, expressed her gratitude to the city's partners in the private sector for their support in the implementation of the projects. She also reiterated the importance of community involvement and collaboration in achieving the city's development goals.
The groundbreaking and inauguration of the projects in Barangay Addition Hills mark another milestone in the city's efforts to provide better infrastructure, services, and opportunities for its residents.
