Mandaluyong officials meet with Solo Parent Federation

Mandaluyong City Mayor Ben Abalos welcomed the officials and members of the Mandaluyong Federation of Solo Parent led by their president, Ma. Lourdes Herrera, and Solo Parent Focal Person, Dhoreen Bisnar, during their courtesy visit at the City Hall. The group expressed their gratitude for the programs being implemented for solo parents and shared their plans for future programs.

As a city that recognizes the important role of solo parents in raising their children and providing for their families, Mandaluyong has been proactive in creating programs and initiatives to support them. The city offers a Solo Parent ID, which provides benefits such as discounts on basic goods, medical and dental services, and educational assistance. They also have programs for skills training and livelihood opportunities to help solo parents become financially stable.

During the meeting, Mayor Abalos emphasized the city's commitment to support and empower solo parents. He also encouraged the group to continue working with the local government in developing programs that will further improve the lives of solo parents and their families.
