Mandaluyong raises awareness on rabies
The city of Mandaluyong highlighted the Rabies Awareness Month in their weekly program, emphasizing the importance of being responsible pet owners. City Veterinarian Louie Encarnacion reported on the various projects implemented by the City Veterinary Office-City Health Department, such as vaccinating and neutering dogs and cats, even during the height of the COVID-19 pandemic.
Rabies is a deadly disease that can be prevented with proper vaccination and responsible pet ownership.
Mayor Ben Abalos commended the Barangay Health Workers for their outstanding service to the community for over 30 years.
Their dedication and hard work have contributed to the city's success in raising awareness on important health issues.
The city government also expressed their gratitude to everyone who participated in the Rabies Awareness Month program, including pet owners who showed their support by bringing their pets for vaccination and neutering.
