Mandaluyong starts A4 group vaccination
Mandaluyong City started on June 7 its vaccination program for residents under the A4 (economic frontliners) priority group, according to a report by Manila Bulletin.
The inoculation program, held at the Mandaluyong City Hall, was attended by Mandaluyong City Mayor Menchie Abalos.
More than 100 tricycle and jeepney drivers as well as vendors are scheduled to be vaccinated to kickoff the vaccination program.
Ferdie Candelaria, senior coordinator of the Mandaluyong City Medical Center Vaccination, urged all businesses in the city to register their employees and essential workers with the city’s vaccination program, MANDAVAX, to ensure that all workers in the city can be protected against COVID-19.
He added that non-resident workers in the city are eligible to be vaccinated by the local government.
According to the Mandaluyong City Health Office, the city has already distributed 94,167 vaccines to its constituents as of June 6.
It added that the city has recorded 254 active cases, 15,636 recoveries, and 412 deaths.
