Mandaluyong welcomes new police chief

Mandaluyong City Mayor Ben Abalos graced the Turnover Ceremony for the incoming Chief of Police, PCOL Cesar Gerente, and the outgoing Chief of Police, PCOL Gauvin Mel Unos. The event was held at the Mandaluyong City Police Station on Tuesday morning.

In his speech, Mayor Abalos thanked PCOL Unos for his dedicated service to the city and for supporting the initiatives of the local government. She also welcomed PCOL Gerente to Mandaluyong and expressed his confidence that he will continue the good work of his predecessor in ensuring peace and order in the city.

PCOL Unos, who served as Mandaluyong's Chief of Police for two years, expressed his gratitude to the local government and the community for their support during his term. He also urged everyone to continue working together for the betterment of the city.

Meanwhile, PCOL Gerente expressed his commitment to work closely with the local government, the police force, and the community to maintain the peace and security of Mandaluyong. He also thanked PCOL Unos for his leadership and guidance and promised to build on the accomplishments of the previous administration.

The ceremony was attended by several officials from the local government, the police force, and other agencies, as well as representatives from the private sector and the community. It ended with the traditional passing of the flag, symbolizing the transfer of leadership from the outgoing to the incoming Chief of Police.
